#FBF Jim & Pam
Eight years ago today I finished this Jim & Pam piece! Those were my early days of digital illustration, and looking back at the original file it’s neat to see how my technique has evolved. For instance, I used a lot of collage elements in the background that I might not use today.

R.L. Burnside
Happy Birthday to R.L. Burnside! I painted this many years ago but haven’t properly posted it.
I have seen R.L. perform many times, including the original House of Blues in Chicago. Got to meet him before a show in Philly at Upstairs at Nicks. I can still remember the feeling of shaking his hand; it was rough, wrinkly, and solid like a man who worked hard his entire life.

Monster Cereal Guys
Three things in one: 1) #fbf to this illustration of the Monster Cereal guys for the Philadelphia Weekly. If they made a live action movie Kevin Spacey would play Count Chocula, Steve Buscemi would play Boo Berry, and Sir Anthony Hopkins would play Franken Berry. 2) Missed the Monster Cereal Show at Tattooed Mom’s last night, wanted to bring this original. 3) Mab’s Drawlloween subject today is Frankenstein!
